Project Scope

Graycor Industrial constructed NIPSCO′s largest SCR/air heater units to date. Work on Unit 8 included demolition of the existing tubular air heater and installation and erection of the following components:

200-foot-high structural steel support assembly
Four distinct duct systems (combustion and flue gas) fabrication and installation
Alstom Lundstrom air heater
Bachman diverter damper
SCR reactor box including inlet and outlet hoods
Sonic air horns and soot blowers
Catalyst soot blowers
Associated civil and architectural civil equipment
